Marion Schwartz

Marion C. Schwartz, 94 of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Marquardt Health Center.

Marion was born on November 7, 1924 in the Town of Farmington, the daughter of Henry and Augusta (Bruhn) Kuehn. Marion was a graduate of Johnson Creek High School and a lifelong member of Ebenezer Moravian Church. She married the love of her life Dellmar Schwartz on August 30, 1947 at Ebenezer Moravian Church and the couple enjoyed 69 years of marriage before Dellmar’s passing in 2016.  Marion was an active member of the church choir and the Moravian Women, CEF, teaching Sunday school, and helping with crafts at Vacation Bible School. She also enjoyed volunteering at Marquardt and Watertown Meals on Wheels. In Marion’s free time she enjoyed making ceramics, gardening, baking cakes, cooking, and giving her famous back rubs. Above all she enjoyed being with her loving family.

Marion is survived by her daughters Peggy Barnes of Waukesha and Linda (Dennis) Rabbach of Watertown, 4 grandchildren Kevin (Lauren) Barnes, Stephanie (Nick) Feavel, Theresa (John) Vesper, and Justin (Jessica) Rabbach, 3 great-grandchildren John “Jay” Vesper, Holden Feavel, and Elijah Vesper, and her cousin Darlene Schaefer of Jefferson. She is also survived by her church family and other friends. Marion is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son in law Michael Barnes.

Memorials in Marion’s honor to Ebenezer Moravian would be appreciated.

A funeral service for Marion will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 11:00am at Ebenezer Moravian Church in Watertown with Pastor Katie Van der Linden presiding. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:30am until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow the service at Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery.--
