Marilyn Fairbrother

Marilyn J. Fairbrother, 81, of Watertown was called home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Watertown Health Care Center.

Marilyn was born on September 20, 1938 in West Allis, Wisconsin, the daughter of Milton and Mary (Uyvari) Mieritz. She married David Fairbrother on September 20, 1992 in Jamaica and the couple enjoyed 27 years of marriage. Marilyn was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years. She worked for over 20 years at West Allis Memorial Hospital as a therapist’s assistant before retiring in 2000. In her free time she enjoyed being a member with the Red Geranium Red Hatter’s, being a clothes model for a women’s clothing line called Queensway and doing other fashion shows, she had a passion for dogs, and she loved cooking for as many people as she could. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by many.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, children: Mary (Mark) Hansen and John Eckert. 3 Grandchildren: Erika, Dustin, and Mark Jr., 4 Great-Grandchildren: Bailey, Isaiah, Audrey, Charlotte, her Brother Don (Carol) Mieritz, and Niece Kelly Mieritz. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service for Marilyn will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Robert J. Loggans presiding. She will be laid to rest at a later date at Arlington Park Cemetery in Milwaukee.
