Marie Loeffler

Marie G. Loeffler, 80, of Watertown passed away on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019 at U.W. hospital in Madison.

Marie was born on May 26, 1939, in Columbus the daughter of Clarence and Gladys Huebner Etscheid. Marie married the love of her life, Russell Loeffler on May 26, 1962 at Trinity Lutheran Church and the two enjoyed 56 years of marriage together. God blessed their marriage with 6 children. Marie was the treasurer of the Ladies Aid at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Richwood for over 20 years. Marie had worked at Ponderosa, Golden Living Center and most notably known for owning and operating Loeffler’s Greenhouse for 15 years. She and her husband were known to have a green thumb and they had a passion for plants and flowers.  Marie had a love for nature where she developed a passion for canning. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandgrandmother and she will be missed by her family and friends.

Marie is survived by her children: Curtis (Lori) Loeffler, Brenda(Randy) Kuehl, Chris(Steven) Stanke, Roger(Jodi) Loeffler, and Rhonda Loeffler; Grandchildren Melissa and James Cahoon, Logan, Dylan and Jordan Loeffler, Madeline and  Brandan Kuehl, Sophia and Gavin Stanke, Megan and Samantha Loeffler; Great Grandsons John Beverly III and Ryker Kuehl; sister Phyllis Schulz. Marie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Debra Cahoon, sister Carol Wolfgram, brothers Donald and Merlin Etscheid.

Memorials in Marie’s honor may be given to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Richwood.

A funeral service to honor the life of Marie will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church 615 Jones St. Watertown, WI 53094 on Friday Oct. 18, 2019 at 3:00PM with Rev. Clint Burow presiding. Visitation will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Watertown from 1:00PM until the time of service.
