Linda Lou Schake, formerly of Watertown, Wisconsin, at age 69 slipped away to be with her Savior, on July 4, 2020.

Linda was born February 13, 1951, in South Bend. Indiana.  She was the only child of Alfred and Margaret Schake.  Linda grew up in South Bend, Indiana and Prospect Heights, Illinois.

In l979, Linda was admitted to the Bethesda Lutheran Home main campus in Watertown, Wisconsin.  Linda enjoyed life with Bethesda Lutheran Communities for 38 years.   She spent most of those years on the main campus in Watertown but she also enjoyed life at the Bethesda group home in Waterloo.   As her medical and physical needs evolved she lived at the Bethesda Wakoka and Schuman group homes in Watertown and finally because of declining health issues, Linda had been living at the Clearview Nursing and Rehabilitation facility in Juneau, Wisconsin. Linda loved life. She especially enjoyed pictures of babies, country music and a cup of tea.  She was never idle.  She was always busy doing something.   She spent many hours at work painting ceramics which were sold at the Bethesda gift shop.

Linda endured much pain and discomfort due to her medical conditions but she never complained and was always ready with a quick smile.

Linda loved her Lord.  Her faith was very important to her.  She was baptized and confirmed and loved going to church.  When living on the Bethesda main campus, Linda enjoyed singing in the choir and playing the in the hand bell choir.

Linda is the last remaining member of her family.  She is survived by cousins Julianne Wohfert, from North Carolina, Marilyn Cabana from Indiana, Karen Gasho, from Ohio, guardian of almost 40 years, Ardis Loeber and many friends and staff at Bethesda and Clearview.

Burial will take place at the family burial plot at St Joseph’s Valley Memorial Park in Granger, Indiana.
