William R. “Weaver” Waldorf, 86 of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Lilac Springs in Lake Mills.
Bill was born on March 3, 1940, in Milwaukee, the son of William and Bernice (Brunow) Waldorf. On October 10, 1970, Bill was united in marriage with Carol Gregorius and the couple shared almost 55 years of marriage until her passing in 2025. Bill worked in chemical sales and was self-employed for latter part of his career. His son’s interest in soccer led to him becoming a member of the Milwaukee Sport Club for over a decade. This led to many friendships and memories made at numerous gatherings, like playing Santa Claus at the Christmas parties or volunteering annually at German Fest. Bill’s most cherished times were spent at his cottage in Northern Wisconsin doing everything from C and C (cocktails and cribbage), boat rides, to hanging out with lake friends. Many fun moments and stories were made doing these activities.
Bill is survived by his children Julie (Terry) Zoellick and Stephen Waldorf, and grandchildren Jack, Neva, Lauren, and Hazel. Bill is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his parents, and sister Bonnie.
Per Bill’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
