Timothy J. Kortendick

Timothy J. Kortendick, 62 of Watertown, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Watertown Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Tim was born April 3, 1962, in Oconomowoc, the son of Kenneth and Shirley Jean (Allworden) Kortendick. On April 6, 2013, Tim married Wendee Niehoff, after spending many happy years together since 1995, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Watertown. Tim was no stranger to hard work and worked as an interior and exterior painter for the majority of his life. When he wasn’t working, Tim was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed watching birds and squirrels from his porch and spending time in the woods hunting deer, bear, and turkeys. He also loved to go fishing. Tim had a great sense of humor and made all those he met smile and laugh. He was extremely kind-hearted and would offer help to anyone who needed it. Above all else, family meant the most to Tim, and time spent with his children and grandchildren was treasured. He will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.

Tim is survived by: his mother Shirley Jean; loving wife Wendee; children Nichole (Dennis) Gunst, Natalie (Scott) Abendroth, Tonya (Nicholas) Esser, Terry (Nicholas) Lord, Travis (Ashley) Kortendick; 11 grandchildren Matthew, Elizabeth, Alissa, Benjamin, Trinity, Penelope, Austin, Zach, Chance, Ty, Kade; siblings Ken (Sandy) Kortendick Jr., Sue (John) Shunk, Debbie (Kevin) Bresnehan, Pam (James) Green, and Roxie (Ken) Block; mother-in-law Mary Niehoff. Tim is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his father Kenneth.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Watertown with Rev. David Brandt presiding. Visitation will be held from 4:30 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
