Thomas J. Schoeffel

Thomas J. Schoeffel, 69, of Waterloo, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at his home.

Thomas was born on August 25, 1955, in Columbus, WI, the son of Arvin and Gladys (Topel) Schoeffel. He was a graduate of Waterloo High School. He worked at Royal Publishing for over 35 years. He married Debbie Goessl in 1983, and the couple enjoyed 36 years of marriage before her passing in 2019. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and working on the family farm.

Thomas is survived by his sisters Susan Schoeffel of Madison and Nancy (James McEuin) Schoeffel of Waterloo, and his mother-in-law Joan Goessl. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Debbie, father-in-law Richard Goessl.

A private graveside service will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Waterloo.
