Susan M. Workman, 74 of Watertown, passed away in her sleep on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Marquardt Health Center.
Susan was born on April 11, 1942 in Watertown, WI the daughter of Louis and Cecilia Tetzlaff. Susan and her sister were the "Soda Girls" at the family's Tetzlaff Pharmacy. She was a 1960 Graduate of Watertown High School and a 1964 Graduate of the School of Nursing in Racine. She worked for a number of years at Beverly Terrace of Watertown where she was trained and instructed CNA's. On August 8, 1964, she married Robert Workman in Watertown and the couple were married 40 plus years until his death in 2006. In their earlier years, they were active members of the Watertown JC's and Susan enjoyed many summer days on Rock Lake waterskiing and fishing. She enjoyed singing and going for drives with her husband. Susan was a strong willed lady who was a great cook and enjoyed being at home.
She is survived by: her Children John (Dana) Workman of Dodgeville and Jackie (Dean) Bachman of Watertown; 9 Grandchildren Cameron, Zachary, Samantha, Riley, Chandler, Spencer, Abby, Hannah, and Brody; and a Brother-in-Law Bill (Karen) Workman of Anchorage, AL. Susan is also survived by a number of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Daughter Nancy, and Sister Nancy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
A memorial service will be at 6:00PM on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Watertown with Rev. David Phillips presiding. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
