Susan Bentley (Zinser) Hinchcliffe, of Beaver Dam, WI, entered
into eternal rest on May 10, 2018.
She was born January 1,
1943, in Torrington, CT., daughter of the late Guy and
Marion (Doyle) Zinser. Susan attended Litchfield High School
in Litchfield, Ct., where she was active in cheerleading,
field hockey and softball. After graduating in 1960, she
attended Southern Connecticut State Teachers' College in
New Haven, Ct, and Post Junior College in Waterbury, Ct.,
and worked in Litchfield as a medical secretary.
She married Harry Hinchcliffe in 1963 and settled in
Litchfield. They later relocated to Sussex, Wisconsin, where
Susan was active in the local Women's Club and Lioness
Club. She enjoyed tennis and skiing, and raising her
children. She then moved to Milwaukee, where she made many
friends through her involvement in the Vagabond Ski Club.
She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren, and
providing a loving home for her dear pets, especially Brigid
and Miss Kitty. Susan is survived by her daughter, Amy; her
son, Fredrick (Dymphna); her brother, Guy (Chris) Zinser and
their families including grandchildren Sean, Zachary, Jesse,
Harry and Alaric, and great- grandchildren Emalie and
Cameron.
A memorial service will take place on Friday, May 18, 2018
at 5:00 p.m., at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in
Watertown, WI. Visitation will be held from 4:00PM till the time of service at the funeral home.
