Sherry L. Binger, age 69, of Watertown passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019.
Sherry was born on Aug. 4, 1949 in Beloit, WI the daughter of Elmer and Evelyn (Warner) Wendorf. She attended a one room school house just north of Sharon, WI and graduated from Big Foot High School in Walworth, WI. Sherry met her husband Larry “Butch” Binger while exchanging letters when he was in Vietnam. On Oct. 16, 1969, she married the love of her life “Butch” Binger at Christ Lutheran Church in Sharon and the couple enjoyed 49 years together.
She was employed at Ben Franklin and Eaton until her retirement. She was active in many capacities with the St. John’s Lutheran Girl Pioneers for 42 years.
Sherry is survived by her children: Laurie (Aaron) Peirick of Watertown, Brian (Holly) of Champlin, Minnesota, and Kevin (Lisa) of Clarksville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jarod (Cora) and Mikayla “Kitty” Peirick of Watertown, Alisha Molzner of Oregon, Caden Binger of Williams Bay, Kaydence and Gavin Binger of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Grayson Binger of Champlin, Minnesota; she is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on Sept. 6, 2018, sister Janice Wendorf in 1950 and brother Keith in 1999.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
