In Loving Memory of Scott Alan Schoenike
August 9, 1963 — June 9, 2025
Scott Alan Schoenike, born on August 9, 1963 in Watertown, WI, went to his eternal home on June 9, 2025.
A lifelong fan of the Washington Redskins football team, Scott found joy in the excitement of game day, proudly cheering on his team through every season. He also had a passion for golf, whether out on the course with family and friends or watching tournaments on TV.
But perhaps nothing brought him more happiness than a good card game—especially Sheepshead, which he loved to play into the wee hours of the morning with his family.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Evelynne (nee Johnson) Schoenike, sisters Peggy Preinfalk, Shari Zeitler — back together for five-headed Sheepshead! — and brother-in-law Jerry Zeitler.
He is survived by his daughter Valerie Schoenike, grandson, brothers Dennis (Paula) Schoenike, James (Doretta) Schoenike, brother-in-law Randy Preinfalk, nieces and nephews: Lyndsay (Josh) Smulders, Jason (Nadine) Preinfalk, Ryan (Kimberly) Zeitler, Bryant Preinfalk, Brittni Schoenike and Taylor Schoenike, and great-nieces and great-nephews: Emma, Alexis, Logan, Helena and Everett.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at St. Mark’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Watertown. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Scott’s name to St. Mark’s Ev. Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
