Saundra C. Clark

Saundra Clark, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont, Minnesota.

Saundra was born on December 17, 1937 in Endicott, NY, the beloved daughter of Bert and Reva (Lee) McVannan. She married Bruce F. Clark on May 29, 1957 in New York and the couple enjoyed 64 years of marriage. Saundra shared in the ministry of Bruce as he pastored churches in upstate New York, Vermont, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

In her youth, Saundra, a rodeo champ, enjoyed listening to baseball games on the front porch with her parents, debating with her Dad, & singing in a choir at Madison Square Garden at an evangelist’s crusade. Using her talents in the kitchen, Saundra prepared amazing meals for her family and hundreds of others. Saundra was an avid reader who enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading the newspaper, crafting, and bargain shopping.

Saundra is survived by her children: Clarice Clark-Foss; Pastor Gerald (Susan) Clark; Sarah (Tamara) Clark-White; Rebekah (Don Clapp) Kauffmann; Sharon (daughter-in-law); and 15 Grandchildren, 32 Great-grandchildren, and 7 great great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, son Bruce, parents, older sister Naomi, and dear cousin Roger.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 11:00 am at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home of Watertown with Pastor Gerald Clark presiding. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 19,2023 from 6:00-7:30 PM at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Saundra will be laid to rest at Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery in Watertown following the service.
