Sandra L. Smith

Sandra L. Smith, 67, of Watertown, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at her home after her battle with lung cancer. Those close to Sandie, know she was a strong, tough woman who did not give up easily when figuring out a problem.

Sandie was born on November 23, 1958, in Wisconsin Rapids, the daughter of Clarence and Mary Jo (Kellin) Dickey. She married Steven Smith on March 1, 1982, in Waukesha. The couple shared 50 years of their lives together, years spent traveling, camping, riding motorcycles, gardening, and cooking. Sandie discovered quilting in her later years. She spent hours making lovely quilts and other gifts for those she cared for, singing along to country music all the while. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved dog Marion, who preceded her in death.

Sandie is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Susan, and granddaughter Vanessa.
