Rodney R. Uttech, 87 of Watertown, was called to heaven on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
Rodney was born on March 22,1938, in Lebanon, the son of Reinhard and Alice (Tritten) Uttech. Rod was baptized at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lebanon where he also attended grade school. He graduated from Hustisford High School. Rod was a member of the National Guard and served in Washington State during the Berlin crisis.
Rod spent his career as a tool and die maker for Village Blacksmith, Quality Tool and Die and Fisher Barton.
Rod married the former Ruth Kube on June 2, 1973, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
In his free time, Rod enjoyed working on vintage cars, and spending time with his family.
Rod is survived by: his wife Ruth; 3 sons Timothy, Nathan, and Matthew; sister Wanda Schwefel; and sister-in-law Millie (Delmar) Gauerke. Rod is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Rod is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at St. Luke’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Watertown with Rev. Anthony Schultz and Rev. Tim Redfield presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
