Robert W. Hahn

Robert W. Hahn, 99, of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2023, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.

Robert was born on September 15, 1924, the son of William and Adella (Wiegand) Hahn. He was a graduate of Watertown High School. After high school, he owned and operated the family farm until retiring from farming. He then volunteered at Schultz Apple Orchard in Lake Mills picking apples. Robert then started working as a rural letter carrier for the post office delivering mail for over 30 years. In his free time, he had a passion for vegetable and flower gardening, playing tennis, and was a member of the Watertown Tennis Association. He also enjoyed bicycling and bird watching. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and to all of them he would say “stay special”.

Robert is survived by his nephew William (Lynn) Reichertz, nieces Cheryl Gruss and Shirley Block. He is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Florence.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Ebenezer Moravian Church with Rev. Katie Van Der Linden presiding. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery.
