Richard M. “Dick” Werth, 75, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Sunset Ridge in Johnson Creek with his family by his side.
Dick was born on April 29, 1950, the son of Merlin and Josephine (Smith) Werth. He married the love of his life Linda Davis on August 11, 1979, at St. Stanislaus in Berlin, Wisconsin, and the couple enjoyed 46 wonderful years of marriage. Dick proudly served our country in the United States Navy; he was a Vietnam Veteran and had the privilege of attending the Honor Flight. He was a long-time member of St. Henry Catholic Church. Dick was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears and the Milwaukee Brewers, but especially loved watching his grandchildren play sports. In his free time, he enjoyed being active by walking and bike riding and taking trips to Arizona to attend spring training. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Dick is survived by his wife Linda, children Nicole (Josh) Klimeck, Julie (Jerry) Field, Jamie Werth, and 4 grandchildren Liam, Keegan, Mason, and Gavin. He is also survived by a number of other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother David, and grandson Bryce.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with Fr. David Drefcinski presiding. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:00am until the time of service. Full military honors will follow the service outside of church. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Henry Catholic Cemetery.
The family would especially like to thank the staff of Commonheart Hospice and Sunset Ridge for the care and compassion given to Dick.
