Rev. William Roser

Rev. William K. Roser 83, of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at home.
William was born on January 19, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ, the son of William Fredrick & Johanna (Germann) Roser. He married Roberta Durstewitz on June 16, 1956 in Jersey City, NJ. William was a graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, IL. William served as a pastor in the LC-MS in South Dakota, New York and Wisconsin. He was a volunteer fireman in Holbrook, NY for fifteen years. He enjoyed model trains and planes and enjoyed teaching his children how to fly the planes. William was also musically inclined. He and his wife were members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: Wife Roberta of Watertown; Children Paul Roser of South Milwaukee, Deborah Roser of Watertown, Rev. Dr. Timothy (Ann) Roser of Junction City, WI and Eunice (Gerald) Berndt of Watertown; Grandchildren Sarah (Alex), Rebekah (Justin), Andrew, Rachel, Brendan and Luke; Great-Granddaughter Kaylee; Brothers Frank Roser and Ronald (Beverly) Roser both of NJ. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Charlotte. Memorials to Bethesda Lutheran Communities, Rainbow Hospice, or the LC-MS Joint Seminary would be appreciated.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Groth and Rev. Dr. Timothy Roser presiding. Visitation with the family will be held at the church from 10:00AM until the time of service at the church.
