Patricia Ann Schlieger

Patricia Ann Schlieger, 85, of Waterloo, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at her home with her family by her side.

Patricia was born on March 25, 1940, in Middleton, Tennessee, the daughter of John Thomas and Lanell “Nellie” (Howell) Whitbey. She married the love of her life Donald Schlieger on March 24, 1989, in Lake Mills, and the couple enjoyed 36 years of marriage. Patricia’s favorite time of the year was fall, she was an avid animal lover, especially birds. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Patricia is survived by her husband, children Laura “Liz” (Greg) Whitney, Wanda (Mike) Pranke, Donny (Beth) Schlieger, Scott (Charyl) Schlieger, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son James Vincent Haney, daughter Hariet Ann Stewert, brothers Leonard, Harvey, and Jim.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Waterloo with Rev. Ray Bezanson presiding. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Waterloo.
