Orville Collins Jr

March 3, 1942 — October 28, 2014

"Joe" Orville Collins Jr. 72, of Watertown was ushered home to heaven by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is currently "at the feet of Jesus".


Joe was born on March 3, 1942 in Letcher, KY. The beloved son of Orville Collins Sr and Beulah (Campbell) Collins. Joe was a 1960 graduate of Daytona Beach High School. He married Diane McGill on May 22, 1964 in Whitefish Bay, WI. He served his country in the Navy from 1962-1972. Following his decision to accept Jesus Christ as his personal savior, in a search for Biblical truths he attended the Reformed Episcopal Seminary in Philadelphia, Penn and was a 1977 graduate of Calvary Bible Institute in Media, Pennsylvania. Joe was a member of Cornerstone Church in Waterloo. He was a high school basketball player which led to his lifelong enjoyment of all spectator sports. He was passionate about the importance of biblically pure doctrine and theology.


Survivors include his devoted and beloved wife Diane Collins; children Julie, Jinny, Justine and Joshua & Amy Collins; his grandchildren Erica, Aundrea, Shawn, Gracie and Jabin; two sisters Jean Johnson of Piqua, OH and Bobbie Tippett of Ormond Beach, FL. He is also survived by 3 nieces, 3 nephews, and extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joy Dawson, and brothers Buster and Jack Collins.


A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday Nov. 3, 2014, at First Baptist Church, 160 Oakridge Ct, Watertown WI with the Rev. Aaron Sturgill presiding. Visitation will on Monday at the church from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca, WI.
