Nov. 26, 1956 - Jun. 22, 2026
Naomi A. Neuberger, 69, of Watertown, passed away peacefully and was born to eternal life on June 22, 2026.
Naomi was born on November 26, 1956, in Columbus, the daughter of Frederick and Margarita (Hugener) Neuberger. She grew up on the family farm in Reeseville and with the faithful support of her parents and family; Naomi dedicated her life to service, first and foremost as a child of God. She served her family, her church, her community, and her members as a social worker with the utmost love, kindness, and compassion. Her work in education and social service spanned over 45 years in Wisconsin and Kansas. She started her career at Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown, and she retired from Care Wisconsin in Waukesha.
Naomi had many interests and talents, including cribbage champion, Sudoku expert, world traveler, epic Easter egg hider, trivia ace, clarinet player, foodie adventurer, cartoon fanatic, church choir singer, puzzle enthusiast, amazing gift giver, and volunteer organizer. Later in life she enjoyed the simple pleasures of storytelling with family, eating out with friends, snuggling with her cat Lou Ella, thrifting, and reading mysteries. Her never-ending spirit of service will shine on in the immeasurable amount of people she touched.
Naomi is survived by her brothers Fred (Kathryne) Neuberger and Gerald (Rhonda) Neuberger; nieces Brenda (John) Marquardt, Linda (Todd Smith) Chatteron; and Dawn Anacker; nephews Peter (Lisa) Neuberger; Michael (Kimberly) Neuberger; Matthew (Melissa) Neuberger; and Jeffrey (Erica) Neuberger. Naomi is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Maxine (Arlen) Marquardt.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Aaron Reseburg presiding. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of the church service. Naomi will be laid to rest at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Reeseville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Naomi’s name to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
The family extends its deepest appreciation to Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek for their exceptional care, compassion, and support of Naomi.
