Myrtle M. Covin

April 11, 1961 — September 1, 2025

Watertown

Myrtle Covin was born on April 11, 1961, in Chicago and died on September 1, 2025, at Broadstep Group Home here in Watertown, at the age of 64.

She was baptized in 1961 and moved to the former Bethesda Lutheran Home in 1971, being gently cared for by the loving staff, many of which were able to continue caring for her from the main campus to her most recent place of residence.

She attended music therapy classes, Bible classes, individualized learning classes, and recreation therapy. She enjoyed listening to Enya, Christian hymns, and live music. Myrtle loved to snuggle in warm blankets and to receive one on one attention from her faithful caregivers Becky, Tammy, Ann, Fae, and Autumn.

Myrtle is survived by 4 older sisters and a younger brother.

We would like to especially thank Jenny and Kendall from Rainbow Hospice for their careful and wise care of Myrtle, and to all those who enriched Myrtle’s life.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Lutheran Cemetery of Watertown. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Broadstep Group Home which is located at 557 Milford Street, Watertown, WI, 54094.
