Michael James Schubert, 71 of Watertown, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at his home surround by his family.
Mike was born at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. Son of Rudolph and Therese (Kelly) Schubert.
Graduated from Milwaukee boys Tech. He attended 2 years of college.
Married Donna M. Gaugert January 4, 1997 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Watertown.
He was employed at Waukesha Engine for 26 years. Drove for the Watertown Taxi for the last 5 years, until he became ill.He was a fan of music and singing Karaoke. Bob Seeger and Billy Joel songs his preferred. He called himself the Sheriff during his time being a D J. He played league darts for many years. Enjoyed the Packers, NASCAR, Brewers. Very talented in building things. Built his own ramp and patio. He is a member of the Royal Order of the Moose.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years Donna of Watertown. His sister Kristine "Tina" (James) Lobotzke of Muskego and Mark (Janet) Schubert of Milwaukee. Sister-in-law Debbie (Lawrence) Ready and Brother-in-law Henry Gaugert both of Watertown. Daughters Kat (Eric) McDaniel of Waunakee, Wisconsin, and Martha (Colleen) Calhoun of Chicago. Grandchildren Noah, Kara, Lucas and Logan. Also survived by niece and nephew; Kelly (Justin) Karpinski, and Nicholas Lobotzke. Great nieces Addison, Cassidy, and great nephews Alex and Anthony.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Watertown.
The family would like to thank Rainbow Hospice.
A Memorial Service will be announced later. Mike will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery in a private family service at a later date.
