Mary Wolter

January 17, 1937 — August 16, 2016

Mary E. Wolter, 79 of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Alden Estates of Jefferson.
Mary was born on January 17, 1937 in Farmington, WI, the daughter of Edgar and Florence (Zastrow) Kramer. On July 6, 1957, she married Robert O. Wolter at St. John's Lutheran Church of Watertown. She worked in local food service for the majority of her life. Mary was a helper, always trying to lend aid where she saw a need. She was a pet lover. She was self-sacrificing and made sure others had their needs met before her own. Her husband and children were her top priority. She was a good mom and cared deeply for her children's children. If a person had a request, and it was in her power to fulfil, one could consider the matter closed. Mary was a confident, self-assured lady, who will be dearly missed.
Mary is survived by: her husband of 59 years, Robert Wolter; Children Bonnie Schilling and Robert S. (Rhonda) Wolter both of Watertown; 3 Grandchildren Nathan, Lena, and Dusti; 4 Great-Grandchildren Colin, Tod, Jenna, Hanna; Brother Ed (Darlene) Kramer of Johnson Creek; Sisters-in-Law Bev and Helen. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Brother Wayne, and Brother Larry.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Watertown with Rev. Rodney Warnecke presiding. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens of Ixonia following the service.
