Mary Ann Jordan (Williams), 96, of Waterloo passed away on January 23, 2026, surrounded by family.
Mary, the daughter of Guy and Frances (Pelow) Williams, was born May 16, 1929, in Horicon, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Howard Jordan on August 18, 1951, at First Presbyterian Church in Horicon. She started her working journey in a canning factory & the Phoenix Hosiery Company in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Mary then met the love of her life while roller skating at the Columbus Pavilion. After getting married, she joined her husband on the farm & enjoyed sewing all of her children's clothing, along with designing her own barbie patterns, & taking numerous tailoring classes with the home economics teacher, Miss Lauderdale, at Waterloo High School. Mary also enjoyed quilting as well as making doll clothes. She loved music, she loved playing on her Organ. She especially enjoyed gospel, organ & classical music & belonged to the church choir where she sang numerous solos. Mary worked at Perry Printing and also spent time helping her husband mow lawns for various residents of Waterloo. She spent her last few years hand-sewing and enjoying her coloring books. Mary was an incredibly kind woman who never met a stranger and accepted everyone as they were. She touched many lives through her authentic joy, faith, and unconditional love for others.
Mary is survived by her children: Shirley Gerdes-Waukesha, Robert Jordan (Jean)-West Bend, Nancy Schmitt (John)-Madison. She is further survived by 6 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter-Barb Showers, grandson Jordan Manthe, 1 sister & 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Waterloo with Rev. Ray Bezanson presiding. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Mary will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery following the service.
