Marjorie A “Marge” Bublitz, 87 of Waterloo, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Meriter Hospital of Madison.
Marge was born on April 18, 1937, in Green Bay, the daughter of Elmer and Esther (Schilling) Kloehn. On February 6, 1956, Marge was united in marriage with Duane Bublitz, and the couple spent many happy years together until his passing in 2012. She and Duane spent many hours restoring antique John Deere tractors together. They were members of the Waterloo United Methodist Church. For over 20 years, Marge worked at Waterloo Feed and Seed, and later at Farmers and Merchants State Bank for almost 15 more years. In her free time, Marge enjoyed feeding and watching the many birds that stopped thru for a snack, and spending hours in the garden tending to her flowers and vegetable plants, as well as trying to eliminate the dreaded garlic mustard plants; a never-ending job! She also liked bowling and exercising at the Sun Prairie pool. She loved Patches, the very-pregnant mama kitty who found Marge, as well as kitten Tootsie, who lived in the “lap of luxury” with Marge. Above all else, Marge treasured time spent with her daughter and son-in-law, as well as with her family and many friends.
Marge is survived by her daughter Debra (Jerry) Lehnherr of Stoughton, nephews Garry (Debbie) Fox and Paul Fox, all of Waterloo, nieces Pamela Schmidt of Loyal,WI, Terri Ann (Ralph) Coppersmith of Medford, OR, and Lisa (Kevin) Klein of Grand Island, NY, as well as Edna Kloehn, Sister-in-Law, of Grand Island, NY. Marge is also survived by 4 great nieces and nephews, 1 grand-cat, and many family and friends, near and far.
Marge is preceded in death by her parents, husband Duane, brother Roger Kloehn, niece Gwyne Lynch and great nephew Tyler Fox, and special kitties Patches and Tootsie.
