Marie Kitelinger

April 2, 1923 — June 19, 2016

Marie E. Kitelinger, 93 of Waterloo, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center of Johnson Creek.
Marie was born on April 2, 1923 in Waterloo, WI, the daughter of William and Lina (Heiman) Weihert. She married Francis L. Kitelinger on July 12, 1941 in Black River Falls, WI. Marie was a long-time member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was a great cook, and loved to sew and garden. She could fix anything but, most of all; Marie was an amazing grandmother and always made herself available when needed. Nobody left her home hungry. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by: her Children Floyd (Maggie) of Hixton, Carol (LeRoy) Gorkowski of Waterloo, Lois (Chuck) Meyer of Waterloo, Mary Sue Kitelinger of Watertown; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great, great-grandchildren and one on the way; Brother James Weihert of Waterloo, and Sister Diana Minnameier of Waterloo. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and 8 siblings.
A memorial service will be at held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo with Rev. Thomas Wilsmann presiding. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:30PM until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland following the service.
