Margo Ketelhohn

December 9, 1941 — February 10, 2018

Margo C. Ketelhohn, age 76, of Watertown, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018, after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.

Margo Charlotte Wright was born on December 9, 1941 in Pontiac, MI to Hazel (Broker) and Harvey Wright.  She was baptized. The family moved to West Allis, WI in 1945. She was confirmed at Cleveland Avenue United Presbyterian Church on April 5, 1954. She graduated from Nathan Hale HS, West Allis, WI in 1959. She met the love of her life, Bob, at Camp Genesee while working in the kitchen in 1956.  Margo married Robert H. Ketelhohn on February 18, 1961 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison. She graduated from the UW Madison Farm Short Course in 1975.  Margo enjoyed her 11 years as School Bus Driver in Watertown. She was Church Organist at Immanuel Lutheran Church Hubbleton for 27 years. Margo also worked as an organizer for CAUS South, WEAC, and a field representative for Nurses Union 1199. Margo enjoyed her family, her life on the farm, traveling to foreign countries chasing 8 total solar eclipses, and traveling in the RV.

Her life was blessed with four children:  Karen (Terry) Weihert, Waterloo, WI; Daniel (Leda­­­­­­); Trinity, TX, Susan (Jeff) Scheibe, Brookfield, WI; and Douglas (Nikki), Watertown, WI. Grandchildren: Keri and Kimberly (Evan); Amber (Steven), Katheryn (Damon), Brandon; Joshua and Alexandra; and Adam, Eli (Heather), Oliver, Bailey and Bailey Taylor. Great Grandchildren:  Jordan, Karma, and Kaylee.

She is further survived by cousin Nancy (Kip) Petkus. Brother-in-law Alan (Marianne) Ketelhohn and nieces and nephews Kristin (Andy), David, Jay, John (Kay), Peggy and Nancy also grandnieces and nephews.

She was blessed with many special friends and neighbors.  We appreciate the care she received from Rainbow Hospice and Bright Star. Caregivers Lin Schleef and Leona Grey spent countless hours caring for and loving Margo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, cousin David Broker, and sister and brother-in-law Betty and Terry Mueller.
