Lisa Farnsworth

December 13, 1968 — September 25, 2020

Lisa fought a long, hard battle with BRCA-2 breast cancer for two years. During those two years, she always stayed positive, never complained of her pain or misfortune, and handled her sickness with grace, dignity, and poise. Unless one knew it, one would never guess how sick she truly was. She always had a glow and energy about her. Lisa was the definition of a true matriarch; always looking out for the best interest of others and putting others before herself. Most people that didn’t know her family well, would take one look at her husband, Mark, and automatically assume he “wore the pants” in the family because of his strong personality, bluntness and loud voice. The ones that knew the family well knew that behind every strong man, stood a stronger, more stubborn, level-headed woman to pleasantly even things out. Her husband always would smirk and say she was a saint for being with him all these years.

Lisa was a wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, cousin, friend, and confidant. She will be forever remembered as the fun, intelligent, coy, mischievous, and beautiful individual she was with a heart made of gold. We will forever hold a spot in our heart and her memory will forever live on in the souls she’s touched throughout the years.

On September 25, 2020 Lisa peacefully passed, in her home, surrounded by family and friends who loved her very much, and supported her through her next chapter of eternal life. Greeting her at the gates will be her father and mother, Theodore and Arlene Engel (Heine), nephew Randy Engel, her best friend, and partner in crime, Kris Czerwinski, and many more friends and family. Lisa is survived by her husband Mark, daughter Heather (Jason), son Kyle (Rebecca), two granddaughters Leslie and Emmaleigh Farnsworth, two brothers Jeff (Donna) and Moe (Mary) Engel, and many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Lisa’s Celebration of Life will be held at Fireman’s Park in the lower pavilion from 12-6pm on Sunday, October 11, 2020 in Waterloo, WI. Adress: 500 Park Avenue. Waterloo, WI 53594.
