Lawrence Michael Carlson (79) went home to meet his Savior on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
Larry was born November 5, 1944, in Rockford, Illinois to Stanley F. and Julia Pearl (Matthews) Carlson. He attended East High School in Rockford and Maranatha Baptist Bible College. On August 1, 1970, he married Linda M. Matthiesen at Calvary Baptist Church in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda, a son, Lawrence Michael Carlson ll (Karen), a daughter, Amy Marie Campa (Jeffery), and two grandchildren, Meaghan Lynne Carlson and Jordan Scott Carlson.
He is further survived by a brother, Lloyd Carlson (Marcia), and two sisters, Lois Dament (James) and Linda Ohlson. Also, he is survived by 7 nieces and 9 nephews, along with many other friends and relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and brother-in-law.
Larry enjoyed working with his hands in his garden and yard, photography, and some wood-working projects. He loved sports, especially the Packers and Badgers. He was also a fourteen-gallon blood donor for the Red Cross in his lifetime.
While we will miss you dearly, we will see you again in Heaven.
Memorials in Larry’s name would be appreciated to Calvary Baptist Church, Maranatha Baptist University, or Independent Fundamental Churches of America Chaplaincy Ministry.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Calvary Baptist Church of Watertown with Rev. Dr. Robert Loggans presiding. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
