Laurie Ellen McEvoy, 40 of Watertown, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 5, 2016.
Laurie was born in Watertown on October 10, 1975, the daughter of Barbara (Michael) Fenz and Don (Karen) McEvoy. She is a 1994 graduate of Watertown High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from UW-Eau Claire in 1999. She worked for a number of years at UW-Hospitals and the VA Hospital, both of Madison, as an ER Nurse. She had a gorgeous smile and an infectious, witty personality. She was a dedicated caregiver and cherished ALL forms of life. Laurie adored her dog, Jada and treated her more like a daughter than a pet. She had a brilliant mind and strived for perfection in all she did. She will be dearly missed by many.
She is survived by: her Mother Barbara (Michael) Fenz, Father Don (Karen) McEvoy both of Watertown; Very Special Friend Eric Lumby (and his daughter McKennah) of Fort Atkinson; Siblings Deanna (Daniel) Lauersdorf, Melissa Fenz, Michelle Fenz, Karla McEvoy, and Keith McEvoy; God Parents John and Donna Tennie. Laurie is also survived by a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents and her beloved dog, Jada.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Watertown with Rev. Dr. Robert J. Loggans presiding. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the funeral home and Thursday from 2:30PM until the time of service.
