Kathleen Usher

Kathleen H. Usher, 89 of Oconomowoc, was born into Eternal Life on Thursday, June 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Kathleen was born on Oct. 2, 1928 in Marshfield, WI the daughter of William R. and Helen (Scanlan) Winner.  On July 2, 1949, Kathleen married her loving husband, Floyd in Madison and the couple enjoyed 66 years of marriage. Kathleen had a heart to serve others. She exercised this passion by volunteering in the community and at hospitals. For leisure, she enjoyed golfing, and bowling. Kathleen was a skilled seamstress, proficient in many different types of needle work.  Kathleen had a fun personality and would often tease her friends and family. She had a zest for life and was a joy to be around.  Above all other interests, Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, and gramma always putting her faith and family first.  She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include: Children Karen Gredler of La Crosse, Debra (Thomas Schroedl) Usher of Grafton, Timothy (Mary) Usher of New Glarus, and Gregory (Lupita) Usher of Ixonia; Grandchildren Emily, Michael, Katie (Josh), Evan, Luis, Andrea, and Jacob; Great-Grandchildren Odin and Oliver; and a Sister, Genevieve Meaux.  She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings Robert, James and Geraldine.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Shorehaven Memory Care and Rainbow Hospice for the loving and compassionate care they provided for Kathleen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at St. Jerome Catholic Church of Oconomowoc.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00AM until the time of service at the church.  She will be laid to rest at St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery following the service.
