Joyce A. Fenz, 80 of Watertown, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015.
She was born on February 8, 1935 in Concord, WI to Hubert and Dorthea (Janke) Weide. On August 18, 1956, Joyce married Frank R. Fenz at St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Watertown. The couple was happily married for 44 years until Frank's death in the year 2000. She was employed by Johnson Controls for 30 years and was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Church. She was a former member of the Plattdeutscher. She was a talented baker and cook, enjoyed collecting cookbooks and angels, being around animals, sewing, fishing, playing cards and working puzzles. Joyce especially loved being in the presence of babies and children. She will be missed by many.
Survivors include: children Randy (Karen) Fenz of Norfolk, VA, Michael (Barbara) Fenz, Denise (Brad) Ziemer, Maureen (Timothy) Schultz, and Danette Borchardt all of Watertown; 20 Grandchildren; 14 Great-Grandchildren; Sister Pearl Bassett of Watertown. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, husband, Brothers Russell and Harvey, and Great-Granddaughter Olivia Kletsch.
Memorials in Joyce's honor to the St. Mark's Lutheran Church Organ Fund would be greatly appreciated.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, October 16, 2015 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Watertown with Rev. James Backus presiding. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00PM-8:00PM at Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Watertown and on Friday from 10:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens of Ixonia following the service.
