Jose "Mario" Hernandez Gonzalez

Jose M. Hernandez Gonzalez, 58, of Waterloo, WI passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Marquardt Health Center.

Mario was born on July 18, 1960 in Monterey, Mexico the son of Faustino and Maria (Gonzalez) Hernandez. He married Leticia Bonilla on May 29, 1990 in Milwaukee. Mario enjoyed listening to music. His family remembers him as an easy going man who loved a good nap. He also enjoyed watching soccer and a nice beer after a hard day’s work. He was a loving father and husband and will be dearly missed.

Mario is survived by: his loving wife, Leticia; his son, Jesus; his mother, Maria; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.

He is preceded in death by his father, Faustino and a brother.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mario will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Holy Family Parish Waterloo Campus with Fr. Jorge Miramontes presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Mario will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery of Waterloo following the service.
