Sep 12, 1941 — Oct 13, 2026

Marshall

John (Jack) Augustine Giunta passed away on October 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife Belva Giunta and family.

Jack was born on September 12, 1941, in Clinton, Iowa, to Vincent and Mary Giunta. He grew up along the Mississippi River and loved watching the barges going through the locks. His father owned Giunta Brothers Produce, and he also worked in the family business during his youth.

Jack joined the Marquette Jesuit Seminary after high school and was a man of devout Catholic faith. He taught Sunday School for over 25 years at St. Mary’s Parish in Marshall, WI. He was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

After leaving the seminary, he met the love of his life, Belva. They were the first couple to be married at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Columbus, WI, on May 13, 1972.

Together they raised three children; Abram, Gemma, and Romi.

Jack began working in the printing trade for Schumann Printers. Later he owned and operated his printing shop, Liberty Printers in Marshall, WI for many years.

Jack was a devoted and caring family man who loved being a grandfather. His great grandson Bryer was born this year and he was so thrilled.

Jack, in his later years, especially loved visiting the cabin near Alma Center with Belva and family, was a diehard Cubs and Bears fan, and was always making signs or other items by woodburning. He also enjoyed supporting local high school basketball teams and loved living in the small town of Marshall. Jack always thought of others first and especially loved spending time with family.

He was a man with a good sense of humor and kindness.

Jack is survived by his wife of 54 years Belva; his daughters Abram, Gemma, Romi (Jeremy); his grandchildren Stasia (Eric), Dreyha, and Tagan; and his great-grandson Bryer.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Mary Giunta.
