John R. Chesnut, 71 of Lake Mills, WI, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center of Johnson Creek, WI.
John was born on January 18, 1946 in Peoria, IL the son of Roy and Joyce Chesnut. He is a graduate of Yates City, IL high school and worked as a parts painter at Superior Consolidated Industries - a subcontractor of Caterpillar Heavy Equipment Co. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. John was a hardworking, gentle, easy-going family man. He was a quiet soul who was always willing to help. John loved music and watching sports on television, but he especially enjoyed attending his grandkids ballgames. He will be dearly missed.
John is survived by: his Daughter Maggie (Brent) Keith of Lake Mills, WI; Grandchildren Bayleigh and Madden Keith; Siblings Mary (Tim), Harriett, Linda (John), Paul (Judy), and Jim (Norma).
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials in John's honor may be made to Rainbow Hospice Care of Johnson Creek.
A celebration of John's life will be held at a later date.
