Jean Ann (Linde) Ziemer, 81, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.
Jean was born on May 16, 1945, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Albert and Rosella (Lenz) Linde. She attended St. Stephen’s Lutheran School in Beaver Dam and graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1963. She worked at First National Bank in Beaver Dam. On September 4, 1965, Jean married Harvey Ziemer of Watertown. The couple dairy farmed together in the Town of Emmet for over 30 years. Jean worked 12 years at Farm and Fleet of Watertown and 4 years at Watertown Bowl.
Jean enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, reading, gardening, antiquing, music and dancing. She was a charter member of Kitchen Klan Homemakers, serving as president and county center chairman. Jean was also a 4-H leader, a member of AMPI Auxiliary and Wisconsin Women for Agriculture. Above all, Jean was dedicated to Harvey and her family and they were the light of her life.
Jean is survived by: her husband Harvey; sons Brad (Denise) Ziemer and Paul Ziemer; daughter Stephanie Ziemer; grandchildren Miranda (Casey) Kletsch, Ashley Smith, and Noah (Amanda Garvens) Smith; and great-grandchildren Connor and Chloe Kletsch. Jean is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by: her parents; daughter Stacy; brothers Robert and Rodney Linde; and great-granddaughter Olivia Kletsch.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at St. Mark’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Watertown with Rev. Karl Walther presiding. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home of Watertown and on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Jean will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery following the service.
