Jean A. Faultersack

Jean A. Faultersack, 93, of Waterloo, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Sienna Crest in Marshall.

Jean was born on April 23, 1933, in Waterloo, the daughter of Louis and Dora (Hilker) Schutz. She married Donald Faultersack on September 10, 1949, in Winona, MN, and the couple enjoyed 65 years of marriage before his passing in 2014. She worked for over 25 years at Perry Printing. Jean excelled at everything she did. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, crocheting, knitting, and making quilts. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Jean is survived by her children David (Marcia) Faultersack of San Juan Capistrano, CA; and daughter Debra (Paul) Buechner of Merrimac, WI; grandchildren Tony (Mary Grace) Keiner, Josh (Stefanie) Lamar, Matthew (Heather) Lamar, Wade Lucas, Patrick (Kelly) Buechner, Rebecca Buechner; siblings James (Sue) Schutz, Robert (Jo) Schutz, Bernice Zak, and Betty Schultz. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, sons Dennis in infancy, son Richard, brother Raymond, and sister Kathy Kassube.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Waterloo with Rev. Ray Bezanson presiding. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Waterloo.
