Janice E. Weihert, age 80 of Waterloo, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 27, 1934 in the Town of Medina, the daughter of John and Evelyn (Chadwick) Johnson. Janice was a graduate of Marshall High School. She married Vernon Weihert on September 11, 1954 in Marshall, who preceded her in death on December 25, 2010.
Survivors include four sons, Timothy (Debra), Terry (Karen), Thad (Michelle) and Troy (Dawn Deppe) all of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Amanda (Nick) Thomas, Clayton (Elise), Keri, Kimberly (Evan Krantz), Rachel and Matthew and one great-grandson, Evan. As well as special friends, Pete and Lucy Gross.
She is further survived by three Johnson brothers, Theodore (Della) and Stanley, both of Marshall and brother Harold and sister Evelyn Schumacher, both of Iowa.
She is preceded in death by: her parents and brothers Adelbert, Lawrence, Charles, and Willard.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Marshall United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jan Beutin presiding. Visitation will be Monday at the church from 11:00AM until the time of service. Burial will take place at the Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
