James Schmitt

James G. Schmitt, 76, of Watertown passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Watertown Regional Medical Center.

James was born on February 3, 1944 in Watertown, the son of Joseph and Melinda (Ziemer) Schmitt. He owned and operated Schmitt Builders in Washington state and Big Bear Construction in Colorado for many years before moving back to Watertown. He will be missed by all who knew him.

James is survived by his children Christine Schmitt and Mark Schmitt and his sisters Janet Sommerfeldt and Patsy Snodgrass. He is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded by his parents and sisters Helen Ready and JoAnn Meyers.
