James O. Myler

James O. Myler, 64 of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Watertown Healthcare Center.

James was born on January 26, 1962, in Galesburg, IL, the son of James D. and Paula (Riggs) Myler. For most of his career, James worked as an over-the-road trucker and greatly enjoyed seeing the countryside during his travels. When he wasn’t working, James loved to spend time outdoors, whether it was four-wheeling, deer hunting, or fishing. He was a special person who was known as the life of the party wherever he went. James will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.

James is survived by his children Aleshia, and James (Jessica), grandchildren Dixie and Dakoda, brother Dan Simpson, and friend Phyllis Kaplanek.

James is preceded in death by his parents, brother Gerald and sister Suzanne.

A Friends and Family Gathering will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Watertown. Burial will take place at 9:00am on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Oak Hill Cemetery of Watertown.
