Irene C. Soldner, 89 of the Marshall/Lake Mills area passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Sienna Crest in Fort Atkinson.
Irene was born on April 7, 1934, at her family farm in Marshall, the daughter of Arthur and Edna (Bowers) Korth. Irene married the love of her life Howard Soldner on December 5, 1953 in Sun Prairie and the couple enjoyed 65 years of marriage before his passing in 2019. Irene spent most of her life as a dairy farmer on the family farm with her husband; she was the happiest when she was in the barn working with her cows. She was a hard worker and took pride in the work that she did, she loved spending her days outside. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Irene is survived by her Son Steve (Denise) Soldner of Waterloo, Daughter Charlotte; Grandchildren Haily, Levi, Dustin and Julie; 12 Great-Grandchildren. Irene is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Brandon, and her sister Lillie Will.
A funeral service for Irene will take place at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Waterloo on Tuesday March 26, 2024, at 11:00am. A visitation will take place at the funeral home at 10:30am until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow the service at Kroghville Cemetery.
