Irene E. Katzenberger

Irene E. Katzenberger, 83, of Pardeeville, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at her home.

Irene was born on January 1, 1941, the daughter of Harvey and Alice (McGovern) Kilian. She married Clarence Katzenberger on January 17, 1968, and the couple enjoyed 30 years of marriage before his passing in 1998. She was proud of owning/operating the family service/repair shop for over 30 years. In her free time, she enjoyed working on puzzles, and being out in nature. She was a very strong woman and a hard worker. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

She is survived by her son John (Chris) Katzenberger, children Mary Katzenberger, Gail (Tom) Carter, and Greg Katzenberger, grandchildren Jeff (Ella Rose) Katzenberger, Mike (Emily Armstrong) Katzenberger, Brian (Erin Wriedt) Katzenberger, Eric Katzenberger, Celia Katzenberger, siblings Elmer, James, Rose, May (Lawrence), Grace, Joe (Linda), and Pat (Pam)and Sister-in-Law Carol Kilian. She is also survived by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Kathy, and siblings Bob, Charles, Catherine, and Larry.

A friends and family gathering will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Waterloo. Burial will follow the gathering at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
