Inez Harris, 86, of Verona passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Dycora in Watertown.
Inez was born on April 8, 1932 in Americus, Georgia the daughter of Tobe and Mattie (Hall) Lincoln. She was blessed with 7 children. Inez worked at UW-Madison for many years and enjoyed her time there. Inez had a zest for life. Her family remembers her as fun loving, and she pretty much enjoyed all life had to offer. She had a contagious personality and never met a stranger; she was everybody’s friend and could make anybody laugh. As a mother, she was tough but fair. All of her children knew she loved them and she always put them first. Simply put, Inez’s children were her life. She was also a foster parent to many. Inez had a big heart and shared it with others through being a foster mother. For leisure, Inez enjoyed decorating and was very skilled in that area. She had an eye for design and knew what went well in a room. Inez was a wonderful mother, foster-mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by: 5 Children, Harold Hardy of St. Augustine, FL, Mary Alice Harris of Verona, WI, Loyd Harris of Verona, WI, Eddie Harris of Verona, WI, and Colby Harris of Tulsa, OK; 4 Grandchildren, Ross, Gabrielle, Paisley, and Jordan; 1 Great-Grandchild, Ezekiel; 3 Siblings, Emmett Lincoln, Mary Lewis, and Lulabell Yearby.
