Gerald J. Schaal

Gerald was born on April 15, 1944 in Vandalia, Illinois to John Herald and Norma Claira (Lange) Schaal. Gerald was a resident with Bethesda for almost 70 years. Gerald enjoyed being around the residents that he lived with, and his many friends. He enjoyed helping out around the house, taking care of his fellow residents, eating a 3 Musketeers, and watching the birds. Gerald was a happy-go-lucky guy, that truly enjoyed life. He will be dearly missed by those who were blessed to have known him.

Gerald is survived by his brother Eugene Schaal of Illinois. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Derald Schaal.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Bethesda Lutheran Communities and Broadstep- Clovercrest for their care and compassion for Gerald.

A memorial service for Gerald will be held at a later date.
