George J. Flint

George J. Flint, 89 of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at The Marquardt of Watertown.

George was born on October 27, 1935, in Watertown, the son of George and Lillian Flint. He graduated from Watertown High School, later joining the United States Army. After his service, George went on to attend University of Wisconsin Whitewater where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Mathematics and 2nd Economics. On May 4, 1963, George was united in marriage with Joan Elliott at St. Henry’s Catholic Church of Watertown and the couple shared 50 years together until Joan’s passing in 2012. George enjoyed spending time outside working on landscaping the trees, bushes, and flowers in his yard. He was very proud of his work and loved to show his hard work off to all the people he knew.

George is survived by: his children Laura Flint and John Flint; grandchildren Andy (Toni) Flint, Aaron (Samantha) Flint, Josh Flint, and Mitchell Flint; and great-grandchildren Cru and Gianna. George is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

George is preceded in death by his parents, wife Joan, son Paul and brother Donald.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Watertown with Fr. Timothy Renz presiding. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. George will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery next to Joan following the service.
