Geneva P. Kuhl

Geneva Kuhl, age 97, passed away on November 27, 2025, at Sun Prairie Senior Living.

She was born on September 24, 1928, daughter of Arnie and Ruth (Meyer) Zickert. Geneva married Raymond Kuhl on October 30, 1948, and together they raised 3 children. They lived on their farm in the Town of Medina for over 50 years and also were involved in many community organizations and church activities.

Geneva was an active member of St. Paul's Lydian Society, organizing meals for countless funerals and gatherings held at the church. She was an avid card player, loved the family get-togethers and enjoyed following the Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers.

Geneva is survived by her children Larry of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, Karen (Mark) Stoneman of Milwaukee and Wanda Bird of Madison, WI; grandchildren Nathan, Nick and Billy and step-grandchildren Laura Kriebs and Ryan Bird, great-grandchildren Grace, Julia, Lincoln, Lena, Elliott Kuhl and Jackson Kriebs. She is also survived nephews, nieces, and many friends.

Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Roy Zickert Sr. and James Zickert, daughter-in-law Susan Kuhl and son-in-law Randy Bird.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM on December 3, 2025, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Waterloo with Rev. Andrew Meyer presiding. Following the visitation, Geneva will be honored at the Media Cemetery with a graveside service.
