Fred W. Huebner, 87, of Waterloo, passed away peacefully at his beloved Stoney Brook farm with his family by his side.
His positive attitude and inner strength could not overcome his battle with cancer.
Fred was born on April 17, 1932 in Milford, WI, the son of Walter and Sylvia (Heller) Huebner. In 1957 he married Jeanette Barman. Together they built a life of working the land they loved and tending to their animals. Fred had a great love for fishing, golf, bowling, playing cards and the many years of traveling out west to see his children and grandchildren. Fred’s life is well represented in the old song, “The Great American Farmer” by Ralph Harrison. Please take time to view the short video online.
Fred is survived by his 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Bonnie (Rick) Holden of Herndon, VA, Dennis (Heather) Huebner of Gilroy, CA, and Tom Huebner of Palm Desert, CA. His sisters Jean MacFarland of Reedsburg and Norma Shambow of Denver, CO.
He is preceded in death by his wife Jeanette, Brother Edward Huebner, and Sisters Carol Meyer, Janet Meyer, and Marie Huebner.
