Emma Nell Mckinney

Emma Nell M. McKinney, 90, of Watertown passed away peacefully at Marquardt Health Center on Friday, November 30, 2018.

Emma Nell was born on December 23, 1927 in Strawberry Point, Iowa the daughter of Harry and Ethel (Burgin) Stamp. Emma Nell married the love of her life Harvey McKinney on April 17, 1949 in Edgewood, Iowa and the couple enjoyed 47 years of marriage. Emma Nell took her care taker role very serious, she cared so much about everyone in the family and enjoyed every opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren “slapping them fives”. In her free time you could find Emma Nell at the casino playing slots. Emma Nell spent 15 years spreading her joy to others as a greeter at Walmart. Emma Nell touched the lives of everyone around her; she will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate to have known her.

Survivors include: Terry (Sandy) McKinney, Larry (Barb) McKinney, Sherry Schreiner, Regina McKinney- (Loretta), Dennis McKinney, Harry McKinney, Denise (Mike) Schwab, 15 Grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Emma Nell is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters, and one grand-daughter.

A funeral service for Emma Nell will be held at the Pederson-Nowatka funeral Home in Watertown on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:00PM with Rev. Jeff Meyer presiding. A visitation will be held at the funeral home at 12:00pm until time of service.
