Eleanore Betlach

Eleanore F. Betlach, 93 of Waterloo, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Columbus Nursing and Rehab.
Eleanore was born on February 9, 1923 in the Town of Portland, WI the daughter of Herman and Marie (Hahn) Riege. On April 30, 1949, she married John Betlach at St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo. The couple enjoyed 46 years of marriage, until John's death in 1995. She worked for Perry Printing in Waterloo for 23 years and both John and Eleanore were VERY active in the Marshall American Legion and the Waterloo VFW. Eleanore was the kindest of ladies. She was self-sacrificing, always willing to help, and never had a cross word to say. She was always happy and was secure knowing that her eternal salvation was paid in full. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by: her Daughter Kathy Jo (Trent) Trieloff of Fall River; Siblings Jerome Riege of Portland and Jean Jordan of Waterloo; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Eleanore is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and Siblings Norman, Harold, Dorothy, Gladys, Evelyn, Grace, Junior, Fritz and Myrtle.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00AM on Friday, December 23, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo with Rev. Thomas Wilsmann presiding. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
