Edwin Haseleu

November 8, 1922 — January 25, 2015

Edwin C."Butch" Haseleu, 92 of Waterloo, passed away on Sunday January 25, 2015 at Golden Living Center of Watertown.
Edwin was born on November 8, 1922 in the Town of Portland to Edwin and Anna Haseleu. He was a 1940 graduate of Waterloo High School. Edwin served in the US Army during WWII. After the war, he worked on the family farm and at Perry Printing for many years. On June 24, 1949 he married Jeanette Riege at St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo. Edwin was a long-time member of the Waterloo VFW Post and enjoyed farming, stamp collecting and gardening.
He is survived by: his Wife Jeanette Haseleu of Waterloo; Children Jeannie (Frederick) Wolff of Waterloo, Diane Haseleu of Wheatfield, IN, Bonnie (Marvin) Partin of Wheatfield, IN, and Stacy Powers of Waterloo; 4 Grandchildren Sierra Powers, Kendra Powers, DaKota Partin and Dillion Partin. Edwin is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: 2 Sisters Adonia Stoker and Adeline Wage and Brother Lawrence Haseleu.
Memorials in Edwin's memory to St. John's Lutheran Church or School would be appreciated.
A Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo with the Rev. Thomas Wilsmann presiding. Visitation will be from 12pm until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
